From the 7th of May a totally new flower will present itself on the European market. The origin of this extraordinary flower, which was given the name ‘Exciting®-M’, lies in the South of France. The flower is already special in first instance due to the chance of discovering such a specie is one in a million. In the meantime Exciting®-M is grown exclusively on a small scale in The Netherlands, but supply will increase in the near future. The distribution and delivery to European destinations will take place from The Netherlands. The flower will first be exclusively available through a limited number of florists in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Paris and Moscow. Exciting®-M is discovered in the South of France as a mutant of cross-bred roses. In a later stage the gem was valued at its potential, as the plant kept producing identical flowers. The production was brought to The Netherlands in order to exploit the undisputed expertise available in the field of breeding and growing. Next to that, The Netherlands is the heart of the floricultural world and the country has an intensive distribution network at its disposal.
Exciting®-M is tested extensively in the course of more than a year and the result was more than satisfactory. The flower will be available from the 7th of May. The usage options vary from solitaire presentation, as centrepiece in a unique bouquet, to processing it in an arrangement or decoration. The flower calls on emotions like passion, exhilaration and joy. An excellent attribute of the flower is its long vase life. Tests have shown a life expectancy nearly up to three weeks with minimal care. Already within a short time-span, after the flower has been put in water, one can observe that the flower gently grows on and the velvet red leafs develop further.
A multi-functional packing is developed for Exciting®-M. The flower will be provided to the florist in a 3-piece packing. This packing ensures that the flower is protected optimal during transport. A cord is attached to the packing by which the composed product is easily carried and handled. The particular look and handle-ability of the packing reinforce the ‘eye catcher’ effect in a shop window or showroom.
