It was quite apparent at the Plantarium and Four oaks Trade Show this year that there is good money to be earnt from novelties provided that companies carefully select them according to specific market requirements (Country, climate, utilization), clean up the plant material from viruses and other diseases and, most importantly, fully control propagation, marketing and distribution. During the Flormart-Miflor exhibition the new partener for Italy was announced; Ivano Garbuio, the well known specialist for rare and unusual plants and garden design. Garbuio emphasises that in Italy, amongst gardeners, enthusiasts, small scale nurserymen, training colleges and breeders, there are many talented people under utilized, that have wonderful new varieties of plants available with great opportunities for exploitation in the international field with the protection of a Royalty.
