The new Trachelium caeruleum series ‘Jemmy’ is ideal for bedding and cutting. It features four harmonious and fashionable colors. Various types of crop management allow ‘Jemmy’ to be grown as an excellent cut-flower variety with long and sturdy flower stems, or as an impressive bedding variety with compact habit and good branching. Grown at close spacings in large pots or open beds, ‘Jemmy’ produces sturdy 90-100 cm long stems for cutting which have a long vase life. Each stem produces a big central flower head and smaller lateral heads. It can be produced all year round but produces the best quality flowers during spring and summer. In smaller containers, ‘Jemmy’ develops into a compact pot plant of about 30-40 cm to extend the classic assortment of annuals. Four stable and uniform colours are available: Pure White, Lilac Rose, Royal Purple and Deep Violet.‘Jemmy Royal Purple’ received the Fleuroselect Quality Mark. For ease of sowing, seed is pelleted.
