Lock Antriebstecknik GmbH introduced their new dual-rack LZG17DS ventilation gear at the IPM 2004. The new ventilation gear is designed specifically for Venlo greenhouses with continuous double ventilation. The unit can be integrated in the vertical posts thereby placing both racks precisely above the grid with the drive tubes arranged below the roof gutter. In this respect the system also casts minimal shadow. It is designed to handle loading of up to 9000 N per rack. This means that the system can operate a climate contolled area of up to 10000m2 using just two power drives. The system is also ideally suited to the use of insect netting.
