5th China International Garden & Flower Exposition | |
This Exposition will take place at Shenzhen (Guangdong Province, China) from 16th September 2004 to March 2005. Undoubtedly, China now represents a major growth area in the world for landscape gardening and ornamental horticultural. Italian companies that have the necessary strength and capability to trade with the enormous and rapidly expanding Chinese market should give this Exposition their serious consideration, also in the light of the forthcoming Olympic Games to be held in Beijing in 2008 and the International Exposition at Shanghai in 2010. Shenzhen (very near to Hong Kong) can be easily reached and has good connections by air, rail and road. The new city is a model of urban landscaping which has won international awards. The huge housing developments and condominiums demonstrate just how green spaces can be used to advantage with modern environmental thinking. Significant pre-exposition publicity of exhibitors' products will be provided and the organizers claim that 300.000 buyers and officials from over 500 cities will be invited. International display gardens: Organisations representing Bolivia, Bulgaria, Canada, France, India, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, USA have already signed up for space in the garden display area of 10ha which is divided into 120 main garden sites of which 30 are reserved for international participation and the garden competition. The main themes are: outdoor garden design and construction, the use of perennial plants and their cultivation (including acquatic plants, garden vegetables and fruit); garden fixtures and fittings including lighting, irrigation systems and other associated items); garden features such as rocks, bonsai, foliage and flowering pot plants. The construction of the outdoor gardens will take place between February and May 2004, therefore interested parties need to make their applications as soon as possible.Commercial trade exhibition: A trade exhibition area of 4000mq distributed between 4 exhibition halls is available for companies to display products and services relating to ornamental horticultural and landscape industries. One sector includes: products (pots, substrates, fertilisers, plant chemicals), systems and technology used in the outdoor and greenhouse production of seeds and bulbs, young plants, turf, flowers and ornamental plants, post-harvest treatment, processing and packing. Dried and artificial flowers and plants, associated arts & crafts. A second main sector includes equipment, tools and machinery associated with landscaping and horticulture. A stand area 3x3m costs USD 1.000 (for 1 month), USD 1.500 (3 months) and USD 3.000 (6 months). After the Exposition has finished, exhibitors can continue to rent space for a permanent showroom for up to a period of 10 years. Latest date for applications: 12 May 2004.
