Az. Bindi Sirio du Bindi Maurizio, Pescia (PT) has introduced in 2004 a new a range of series Gerbera varieties with spider shaped flowers under the name 'Zoom' ('Zoom' Red, Yellow, Cream and Orange). They are the result of a crossing program with a wild species from South Africa. They produce smaller than average leaves and stems of 50/60cm for cutting. Productivity is high and the varieties are also suitable for production as a pot plant. 'Zoom' varieties are rustic with a relatively high disease resistance. 'Zoom Orange has dark yellow outer petals and orange inner petals, a very attractive combination. As the flowers mature in all 'Zoom' varieties, the inner petals become ruffled.
