A new Chlorophytum is making its mark | |
Chlorophytum orchidastrum ‘Green Orange’ (vbn-code 20843) is the full name of a new houseplant with a neon glow, the veins in the leaves are bright orange creating a striking contrast against the lightly furled green leaves. The result is a fresh, decorative plant that requires low maintenance. The product was accepted for the Floraholland primeur programme and was nominated for the Floraholland Award in the category ‘Promising new houseplants’ Chlorophytum orchidastrum ‘Green Orange’ thrives best at normal room temperature in a shaded spot, out of bright sunlight. The rootball should never be allowed to dry out. The plant reaches a height of around 35 cm and is available in a 12cm, 14cm and 17cm pot size. Chlorophytum orchidastrum is distinct from Chlorophytum comosum and Chlorophytum laxum. All are members of the Antheriaceaea family.
