Standard roses with stems inside bamboo shoots

A curious novelty product Called ‘Bamboo-zles’ from the Company Micropropagation was seen at the Four Oaks Trade Show, England, this year. The owner disn’t like the ungainly stems of standard roses so he developed a system whereby the young stem is guided through a hollow section of bamboo that takes over the function of support and provides an attractive smooth ‘artificial’ stem. The product received an award for technical excellence at the exhibition. Supplied as a 1 litre plant. E-mail: sales@microprop.co.uk www.micropropagation-services.co.uk
