This series of Mimulus from Floranova Ltd now contains 17 different colours, bicolours and patterns with high uniformity between all varieties. Mimulus is not indicated for hot, dry climates – it grows best in moist cool situations. However the ‘Magic’ series is more tolerant of ‘less than ideal conditions’ making a useful bedding plant especially at the margins of pools and wet areas. It can also be used effectively in hanging baskets. This series is very compact and early flowering; from seed it takes just 6-7 weeks to flower in long days. The series is frost resistant. The latest edition to the series is called ‘Blotched Mixed’.
