| Two new varieties of Lantana from the Robrick Nursery, Florida, USA, have been awarded the FloraStar Gold Star. The variety ‘Anne Marie’ was first discovered in the late 1990’s as a mutation of ‘Irene’. It has a very dense compact habit and does not need plant growth regulators. It is highly floriferous variety with purple-mauve flowers. The second new variety is ‘Red Spread’ is described by growers as the best red flowering Lantana available. Thisvariety grows to a mounded form, ideal for containers and in gardens and flowers profusely.
