One of the new varieties of the year 2005 of the FNGLA (Florida Nursery Growers & Landcapers Association) is Aracnidodes simplicor variegata (East Indian Holly Fern). The beauty of this fern variety is the yellow variegation running along the midrib of the evergreen leaves. It is ideal for use in floral decoration or as a ground cover plant in shade or partial shade where it grows to a height of 45-60cm and width of 40-50cm. It grows best in the light of shade trees.
