Vertical Gardens

Seen for the first time at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, England, is the range of  hexagonal Cell Wall Planters in the ‘Causeway’ range made to fit vertical walls. The containers are made of light-weight fibreglass, appropriately angled to fit the vertical surface. They also fit together to make larger units. The planters are finished in a light mat brown colour that creates a natural rock effect. The system is idea for all sorts of trailing and hanging plants and provides the possibility of planting a wide range of different varieties in a relatively small space. The system brings to mind the Chinese tradition of creating vertical walls of colour or greenery for temporary displays simply by angling pot plants into a vertical grid.

The same Company markets another range of hexagonal planters that fit together to form free-standing vertical towers of various sizes complete with a water pump to create cascades. These are highly suitable for small gardens, terraces and balconies.  For further information, contact Parton Rock Ltd, UK. Fax 0044 20 8878 6944, E-mail: info@partanrock.ltd.uk, www.partanrock.ltd.uk
