| Accoring to Floranova, Mimulus 'Maximus' Yellow Blotch was a big success at Plant Trial in Bressanone, Italy, this summer. This very large flowered variety (6cm blooms) is very showy and made it the most voted plant in the trials. It is the first ever grandiflora variety. The series has an improved daylength response: flowering in 12.5 hour days means that ‘Maximus’ can be scheduled earlier and later than other Mimulus series. It has been extensively selected for garden performance and trials have demonstrated that with adequate watering, ‘Maximus’ will flower through to the end of June, even in the warmer southern states of America! The habit of Maximus has been adapted for 10cm pot production. It is more vigorous and upright than the ‘Magic’ series and is available in 6 colours: Yellow Blotch, Ivory, Red Shades, Lemon Yellow, Orange and Yellow.
