Regional FloraHolland locations present themselves in Hall
9
FLORAHOLLAND (press release, January 2006) -
FloraHolland will again be present this year at the IPM in Essen, Germany, on
February 2-5. The whole focus of the stand is on FloraHolland's suppliers and
their products. The emphasis lies, in particular, on the breadth of the
FloraHolland range, and products that are of interest to the international
market. The FloraHolland stand can be found in Hall 1 (stand number 101). The
three regional locations once again present themselves in Hall 9 (retailers'
hall, stand number 218).
FloraHolland supports its growers and buyers in exploring new sales markets.
By presenting itself with its growers, the FloraHolland stand has the effect of
a "shop window" for products sold via FloraHolland. In this way, it's easy for
growers to make contact with customers of exporters and they get useful
information. Exporters who have stands at the IPM also make good use of this
"shop window" and meet their suppliers and customers here. The following growers
present themselves at the FloraHolland stand: Oriental Bonsai Center BV, Kroes
and Prins (Romantic Cymbidium), Gebr. Valstar BV, Cameleon and Holland
Plant.
FlorConcepting
There is a growing need for concept
development in the market. Under the name of FlorConcepting, FloraHolland offers
its members an integrated approach aimed at developing product concepts with
commercial possibilities. FlorConcepting is now a year old and a large number of
concepts have already proved themselves in the market. A number of concepts will
be presented at the stands of exporter Disva and FloraHolland,
namely:
- New Wave Amaryllis, a packaging concept for the amaryllis
throughout the chain
- Miss Lucy, a very luxurious flower bulb concept
from Hoff Quality First
- Kiku Flowers, a cut flower gift concept from
Dekker Innovations available via internet and retail
- Florganic
biological bouquets
- Coffea Arabica, a concept that makes a
contribution to nature conservation in, among others, Borneo (VDE Plant)
- Mystic Nature, a bulb of wood chips and organic material that bracket
grows on, from Kwekerij Patent
- Vanda from
Quinterra
- bulb-on-pot packaging concept from P.A.C. van Dijk
Novelties
In addition to concepts, there will also be
novelties, namely: Ficus 'Helma' (Edplant),
Aeschynanthus 'Twister' (Kwekerij
Bert Schouten), Pedilanthus tithymaloides (Van der Arend Tropical Plantcenter),
Clerodendron quadriloculare 'Kolibri' (Groenplant), a unique mini Cymbidium
(Power Force), Guzmania 'Carol', Guzmania 'Jolo' and Guzmania 'Jaquaranda'
(Kwekerij Hennie Bos), Microsorum 'Crocodyllus' (Wim Brouwer), cyclamen
'Fantasia' (Kwekerij Henry van der Does) and Iles 'Hollywood' (Hoekert BV).
These products are already available at FloraHolland, but are still fairly new
to the German market. Eye-catchers this year are the 'Glowing Flowers' and the
'Speaking Roses' that are on show at the stand.
FloraHolland locations Bleiswijk, Venlo and Eelde jointly presented
at IPM
Following last year's success, the three regional locations are jointly represented
at a stand in Hall 9. The stand number in Hall 9 is 218. The theme of the
stand is "FloraHolland shows you the way" (FloraHolland weist Ihnen den Weg).
With this theme, the three regional locations of FloraHolland wish to show
that their clocks, clock services, Intermediary Offices and "cash & carry"
services offer buyers the chance to obtain a full range of ornamental flowers
and plants and related products at every marke
