Do you have a real passion for pants? Would you like to learn how to grow ornamentals, vegetables, fruits, trees and shrubs? How about learing modern methods of plant biotechnology and plant breeding, management and marketing strategies in all fields of horticulture in an international context? A M.Sc (Master) course lasting 3 semesters (1.5 years) is being offered by the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at the Geisenheim Campus (Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, Germany) in co-operation with Lincoln University, Canterbury, New Zealand, and Ohio State University and Texas A&M University, USA. The entire course is conducted in the English language. The first semester takes place at the Geisenheim Campus in Germany. The second semester takes place either at Ohio Sate University, Texas A&M University (USA) or at the Lincoln University, New Zealand. The final semester takes place at Geisenheim where students will be integrated into actual research projects of the State Research Centre located at the same Campus. This course provides the basis for several career options: international research & development in horticulture; higher management of horticultural companies in an international context; horticultural production, services and marketing; access to higher horticultural service activities in horticultural/agricultural administration. Studies may in certain cases be extended to P.hD level. Minimum requirements for admission are a degree in horticulture or related fields with at a certain grade, proof of a sufficient level of English, 2 letters of recommendation and a letter of intent.
