At the IPM-Essem 2006 exhibition, Maschinenbau Harald Leidolt won an INDEGA award for innovation with their ‘Flowerjet’ automatic pot spacing. The standard boom moves over the bench and will lift pots (also out of trays or belts). It then moves and places them on the bench or on the floor according to the desired spacing. The standard boom width is 4.5m but this can be enlarged. This highly flexible piece of equipment works with pots from 6-16cm in diameter. The basic unit costs in the region of €26.000 and replaces ordinary robots used to handle pots.
