Chrysanthemum ‘Black Eye’

This new variety of spray Chrysanthemum has white-petalled flowers with strongly contrasting black-eyes. The effect is unique, even more so when looking at a mass of these flowers bunched together. A subtle green margin adds to the dark open-eye contrast. The variety produces a large number of flowers per stem and a vase-life of at least 3 weeks is claimed. This makes it an ideal candiate for flower bunchers. Currently 100,000 stems are available each week, rising to 250,000 from week 17. It is being supplied at a stem length of either 55cm or straight spray at 70-75cm. www.flowercouncil.org
