The ‘Origami’ series of Aquilegia caerulia represents a perennial plant bred for flowering in the first year (autumn sowing for spring flowering). The need for vernalization is minimal (14-21 days) and vernalization will take place at 8-10°C. The series contains some lovely colours; 6 varieties: ‘Blue & White’, ‘Pink & White’, ‘Red & White’, ‘Rose & White’, ‘White’ and ‘Yellow’. All varieties are free-flowering and are uniform in terms of growth habit and flowering time. Plants grow to a height of 35-40cm in the garden and are suitable for production in medium sized pots up to 15cm diameter.
