During an extraordinary Board meeting of the Nursery Stock Trade Fair Foundation (SVB), Jan van den Bos, Chairman of Plantarium, was presented with the Golden Plantarium Pin with diamond. He received this award for his enormous achievements for the Foundation and the International Plantarium Trade Fair. It was the first time that this pin with diamond was awarded. Van den Bos managed the Foundation and Plantarium since 1995. At the time, he succeeded late chairman dr Tjeerd Reitsma, who passed away in 1994, and interim chairman Jan Habets.

The extraordinary Plantarium Pin was presented to Van den Bos on behalf of the Board through Treasurer Jan de Frankrijker. “The Foundation had moved into a new era and as director, Van den Bos arrived at the right place, at the right time,” De Frankrijker said. He referred to Van de Bos as an excellent, down-to-earth and enthusiastic negotiator and a director with a clear vision. The pin was handed over by Bert Brand, former member of the Board and one of the founders of Plantarium.
