Semi Farmen has introduced several new series of Viola with very large flowers and a wide range of unusual colours. The series "Dante", "Mayor", Jack Pot", "Can Can" and "Flamenco" (Rococo) all have large 10cm. In the case of "Can Can" the petals have wavy margins and in Rococo the flowers are semi double with margins wavy/frilled petal margins. "Can Can" is available in an exceptionally wide mixture of colours and tones including: white, lemon, yellow, pink, cherry, scarlet, cremise, lilac, violet, light blue and black. "Dante is good for autumn flowering and is very resistant to low temperatures. It is also ideal pot growing in pots. The "Mayor" and "Jack Pot" series on the other hand are very resistant to warm temperatures and susceptible to the cold. The latter series is also very early flowering. "Rococo" is slightly later flowering than the flat flowered varieties but with a long flowering period right up to full summer. Another series "Acquarelle" has medium sized flowers but in a range of pastel colours, some delicately veined others with a blotch. These new series are the result of utilizing a much larger collection of genetic material than most other breeders and in the long term, some very new and distict types have been constituted. www.semifarmen.com
