The Advisory Board for the IPM Fair has unanimously decided: As from 2010, IPM ESSEN, the International Trade Fair for Plants, Technology, Floriculture and Sales Promotion, will take place from Tuesday to Friday. The new dates for 2010 have been finalised: Tuesday, January 26 to Friday, January 29.

The body of the IPM Advisory Board consists of representatives of Zentralverband Gartenbau ("Central Horticultural Association"), Landesverband Gartenbau Rheinland ("Rhineland Federal State Horticultural Association"), Landesverband Gartenbau Westfalen-Lippe ("Westphalia-Lippe Federal State Horticultural Association"), Fachverband Deutscher Floristen e.V. - Bundesverband ("Trade Association of German Florists - Federal Association"), INDEGA ("Association Representing the Interests of the German Horticultural Industry") as well as further exhibitor and visitor groups.

At the repeated request of exhibitors and visitors, it was decided to cancel the Saturday and the Sunday and to schedule IPM ESSEN on the weekdays Tuesday to Friday. The density of the dates at the fair on the workdays will be spread out and this will do justice to the claim to be the premier global fair. Clashes of dates with other fairs important to the sector will be reduced as well. The Friday as the last day of the fair will facilitate the transport runs, above all, for the foreign exhibitors as well.
