| Exclusive cooperation Fides Barberet & Blanc | |
From 1 October 2009, Barberet & Blanc will be the exclusive representative in Spain and Portugal of breeding and propagation company Fides in De Lier (NL). As a Fides’ agent, Barberet & Blanc will be able to provide business relations on the Iberian Peninsula with even better and more targeted services. Just like Fides, Barberet & Blanc is a division of the Kirin Agribio Company. This means that both parties are no strangers to each other. The emphasis of the cooperation will be aimed at the following product groups: Pelargonium, Osteospermum, Dahlia, Nemesia, Petunia, pot Chrysanthemums, Multiflora, Kalanchoe, Impatiens NG and pot Asters. The marketing of the Fides cut flower Chrysanthemum assortment continues through the existing channels. Barberet & Blanc has its head offices in Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, Spain. Fides’ Commercial Manager Frank Goedhart on this decision: “We are very enthusiastic about the cooperation with our sister company. It does entirely fit in with the synergy as favoured by the Kirin Agribio Company between its subsidiaries. Just like Fides in the Netherlands, Barberet & Blanc is known within the Spanish and Portuguese market as a professional, customer oriented organization that considers quality and market oriented thinking of paramount importance.” From now on, Barberet & Blanc will become the contact point for the sale of cuttings of Fides pot plants and seasonal products in Spain and Portugal.
