Lansbergen Gerbera’s in Holland have produced a new box for packaging
gerbera flowers called the ‘Gevmonica Airpack’ which contains 48 gerebra
flowers occupying half the volume of a standard gerbera box. Developed by Van
Diuvenbooden in Aalsmeer, each flower is inserted into its own cup ensuring
that no mechanical damage can take place between the flowers with a much
reduced risk of Botrytis. In addition florists can remove single flowers from
the box by pulling the stem through the protective paper cover. This new box
might also be introduced for road transport considering the space saving
potential www.lansbergen.com,
