“Good Neighbours Day”

This is a new idea from the UK to promote consumption of flowers and plants which is being taken seriously by the UK industry and is supported by the director of Southern Glasshouse Produce, the Flower Council of Holland and the Flower & Plants Association in England. Derf Paton who  is behind the idea also came up with a great slogan “flowers work where words fail”. To say thank you  with flowers or plants or to end a dispute between neighbours (this should also work well in our Italian condominiums!). In theory, the celebrative day would be the 3rd Saturday in September, a dead period in the market  although in the UK there would still be an abundance of flowers in the garden.
