A delegation of growers from Italy participated in a successful mission to China, organized by Edward Bent, between 27^th May and 9^th June 2002. The intensive program included the three provinces: Zhejiang, Yunnan and Guangdong and over 35 important visits and meetings took place with Chinese growers and traders, mainly concerning the Nursery-stock sector.  Participating companies from Sicily to Verbania included: Martinico Ornamental Plants, Az. Agr. Colonna Salvatore, Vivai F.lli Gilardelli and Az. Agr. Compagnia Del Lago. A great number of opportunities for immediate business and product development were evident. A return delegation to Italy of Chinese operators is expected later this year and some Italian delegates will make a second visit before the end of the year. E-mail: hortcom@tin.it
