The 26^th Biennial Exposition of Flowers and Plants will take place in the Comicent (Centro Commercializzazione dei Fiori dell’Italia Centrale - Wholesale Market for Flowers from Central Italy) at Pescia, Italy, 31^st August — 8^th September. The total covered area will be 16.000m2. The organisers intend to use the Exposition to measure new developments in terms of new varieties, products and production and to evaluate the market penetration that the produce of Tuscany, and Italy in general, are managing to achieve. There will be a total of 281 technical and aesthetic competitions judged by a team of Italian and foreign experts. Exhibitors wanted to display ‘new varieties’ are being strongly disciplined to ensure that these products represent true novelties together information on breeder and source. There will be an 8.000m2 area appropriately equipped to display local production and to facilitate commercial exchange.
