A useful product to minimise the visual impact of mobile telephone masts has been developed by the British Company Francis & Lewis International. The 'Cypress Tree Tower' allows the complete screening of aerials and antenna without interfering with the transmission performance of the equipment. The natural looking foliage of the slightly conical shaped Cypress Tree Tower can hold antenna and dishes for up to 3 mobile telephone operators, thus minimising the number of individual 'stand alone' structures required. The Tree Towers are constructed in a modular form with heights from 7m - 30m with the potential of screening a maximum of 9 panel antenna and 6 microwave dishes. The Tree Tower accurately reproduces the appearance and upright shape of a Cypress tree with foliage that starts at a height of 2m from the ground level and look a like bark covering the trunk. The tower is made from galvanised metal and the branches from glass-fibre. The artificial tree structures will resist winds of up to 194 km/hour and they blend very well into surrounding greenery and countryside.
