Flower Council to continue 'Colour your Life' success story

The ‘Colour your Life’ consumer campaign which has been successfully running in ten European countries will definitively be taken over by the Flower Council of Holland. Its fate had remained uncertain ever since the demise of organizer Plant Publicity Holland in 2012.

‘Colour your Life’ seeks to educate consumers regarding the importance of having greenery in your immediate surroundings. The promotional campaign works through various media channels, from traditional paper media and television to the more modern social media channels like Facebook and YouTube.
Floriculture sector promotion organization Flower Council of Holland will take up the campaign’s activities as of this month, April. Its scope will be more limited, however: only Germany, England and The Netherlands will be covered from now on. The Council will work with PR agencies in those countries for the execution of the activities.
The campaign has been running for four years and has an estimated reach of about 300 million people when all printed communications are considered.
The Colour your Life-Award, bestowed annually during the IPM Essen trade fair, was already organized in collaboration with the Flower Council of Holland as well as FloraHolland last year.
Plant Publicity Holland set up the ‘Colour your Life’ campaign back in 2009 with financing support from the European Union. PPH was abolished in 2012, however.
