Plantarium Garden Theatre: an inspiration for autumn sales |
|
The ‘Green Speaks’ theme of Plantarium 2013 will be expressed in the Plantarium Garden Theatre. The fair will be laid out in such a way that visitors are taken to the Plantarium Garden Theatre via the central axis. The central axis also forms the common thread which links the various sections of the fair. When they arrive at the fair, visitors can gain inspiration on the Raboplein, where the entries for the new plant award and the press award are exhibited. By means of live streaming, visitors can also follow the activities in the Garden Theatre here. They will then pass the Seasonal Garden in which 12 borders of various sizes have been planted. The borders form a source of inspiration for the visitors, garden centres and their staff, who can then translate the ideas into presentations on the sales floor.
Garden Theatre
The visitors enter the Plantarium Garden Theatre via the luxury foyer. They enter into a large space with a stage, surrounded by presentations by hardware suppliers. The Plantarium Garden Theatre also provides access to the trade fairs GASA Germany, Floralis and SAP Holland.
Open theatre
On the stage, demonstrations will be given at set times using garden plants and various other items, with the focus on the development of the autumn range. The ‘artists’ taking part are Romeo Sommers (known from the TV show ‘Tuinruimers’ with Rob Verlinden and his appearances on Omroep MAX, RTL4 and SBS6) and Antje Verstl who, with her Dendron Akademie, is regarded as an expert in the field of visual merchandising and is known for her highly practical presentation training courses for garden centre teams (staff).
Role of visitors
The visitors to the Garden Theatre can ask the artists to create an arrangement using the plants and other items which they can take from the shelves surrounding the theatre. The visitors therefore play an interactive role. Garden centre staff, in particular, can gain personal experience which they can then put into practice in their own garden centre with their own customers/visitors. The Plantarium Garden Theatre is a collaboration between Tuinbranche Nederland, Tuinzaken, FloraMedia, Gasa Germany and Plantarium.
Plantarium 2013 will run from 21 to 24 August in the Plantarium building at the International Trade Centre Boskoop-Hazerswoude. For further information,
