The Agrotest kits from Koppert provide growers with a quick easy and reliable method for checking the presence of viruses in their crops. There are seven different kits each of which is designed to test for a specific virus. These are: pepino mosaic virus, tomato mosaic virus, cucumber mosaic virus, tomato potted wilt virus, tomato yellow leaf curl virus, Impatiens necrotic spot virus and potato virus. Each kit contains ten individual tests for a particular virus (with the exception of the potato virus kit that contains twenty tests). The kits have a shelf-life (remain viable) for 12 months at room temperature. Pieces of leaf tissue are dissolved in a special liquid in an extraction bottle. Using a pipette, a small sample of this liquid is placed in a lateral flow device. Within 2 minutes this device indicates whether the virus is present or not. www.koppert.nl
