The visualisation via Internet of ideal height curves and fruit development according to various parameters as the production cycle proceeds, offers growers a very useful tool with which to improve forward planning, yield, quality and uniformity and reduce the use of growth regulators. The Company LetsGrow.com provides programs for height control for Kalanchoe, Poinsettia and Pot Chrysanthemum. Secondly, they offer production monitoring for every type of crop, especially for cut-flowers (actually building up the data base for optimal growth curves for each crop). Thirdly, they predict yield for tomatoes and peppers (so far) on a daily basis for the coming 4 weeks. This independent Company uses the technical knowledge and expertise of Hoogendoorn Automation BV and of the Wageningen Research Station. The Company currently has 160 clients (including advisors and consultants) in 19 countries. So far, the programs are available in Dutch and English language and while they have no immediate plans to extend the language base, the next priority language will certainly be Spanish..
