The result is a gain of at least 10% in light penetration and a reduced cost of 10%-18% per m2. According to a spokesman, a complete block of 5000m2 will cost approximately Euro 60-65/m2. One of the impelling reasons for widening the supports to 4m was to compete with 'Venlo' design and be compatible with internal benching systems and automation. Other innovations are 'Skylite' where runs of roof panes open to the vertical position and the 'Sidelite' design where the entire side and gable wall can be folded upwards by a motorised drive to provide a canopy, added ventilation and access.
