A new series of Gerbera raised from seed have been bred for pot culture. The 'Royal' series has been bred in Denmark and introduced by Global Flowers A/S. Plants are compact and do not need growth regulators. They have strong green foliage and uniform flowering and are suited to 11-13cm pots; final recommended spacing is 20-22 pots/m2. Plants are floriferous and can be raised from seed in a short crop cycle. So far the series includes 8 separate colours: scarlet, golden orange-scarlet shades, light orange, golden yellow, yellow, deep rose, salmon rose, white and soft pink. info@global-flowers.com
