Koppert Machines BV in Monster (Holland) have designed a flower sleeving machine for sleeving any kind of flower including roses, tulips, mixed bouquets etc.) The machine is installed behind the flower processing line and removes the need to sleeve manually. At the moment the machine is capable of sleeving flower with stem length up 40cm. In the near future other sizes will follow. The machine has a capacity of 1100 bunches an hour and the speed of the machine is still being improved. It is powered by electricity and air for its pneumatic components. For 2003 the machine will only be available for operators in the Netherlands.
