TomTech introduce the T200 Universal Horticultural Computer, an entirely new concept in environmental control in greenhouses. The console has a large colour touch screen instead of the usual keypad which makes it easy to use and waterproof. There is no fixed number of inputs and outputs; instead up to 15 cards can be plugged into the box. Each sensor card provides connection for measuring from 10 sensors. Any input can be used with any sensor type including the measurement of: temperature of air, soil, floor, bench, heating pipes; electronic and wet/dry humidity, light intensity and CO2 levels. Most important of all, this control box is a wonderful experimental and teaching tool. A grower can vary any of the environmental parameters on the touch screen and obtain an immediate coloured grafical representation of how this change effects the other parameters in the greenhouse. In this way it is possible to decide the best environmental conditions and compromises, day and night, to use for a given crop program. Likewise, students can quickly learn the basics of commercal production using the T200. The equipment is supplied complete with all software for all applications and software updates are free of charge. The T200 comes at a price of Lgs 3.400 and each of the cards cost Lgs 250.
