In Spring 2002, the big unified NGV-UGA Market with headquarters at Straelen, will open a new Cash & Carry Centre in Vienna, followed later by a Centre in Budapest, then Paris.  NGV-UGA has a turnover of about Euro 500 million and while it operates one auction for flowers and another for plants, plant sales account for by far the highest part. Through this organization, German growers have the possibility of selling at many points throughout the Country and the organization serves a wide range of clients including garden centres and the volume retail sector.
