Councelling foliage pot plant growers

Poorly designed mist beds. Few growers have properly designed and well functioning systems for propagation that leads to leaky mist-heads and irregular misting, wasted water, leaching of nutriets and large losses from disease. Mist heads should be correctly positioned at exactly the same height producing a fine low volume even mist pattern. Follow cloesely the seasonal changes in irrigation requirements of a given crop in relation to seasonal changes. Such changes can be subtle and sometimes unexpected.
