The following presentations will be made during the morning sessions:

Virosis of ornamental plants (Dr. Bellardi, University of Bologna); Phytoplasmosis of ornamental plants (Dr. Bertaccini, University of Bologna); Recent studies on senescence of cut-flowers and foliage and pot plants (Prof. Reid, University of Califlornia); Soilless cultivation (Dr. Ammerlaan, PBG Research Station for Floriculture and Glasshouse Vegetables, Holland); Recent discoveries in chemical and biological control for fighting the white-fly (Dr. Giovanna Tropea Garzia, Univesity of Catania). Fir the 17th May: New varieties of roses marketable in Northern Europe (Nancy Laws, international journalist and consultant); Introduction of new plant varieties from Australia (Prof. Mark Webb, Director Botanic Gardens, Parks and Recreation, Australia); Commercialization: new methods for promoting flowers and plants (Jeremy Pertwee, international consultant).
