The Netherlands: Van Egmond and Combinations join forces |

The cooperation between Van Egmond and Combinations is a fact from 7 January 2013. The companies will work closely together to give the Lisianthus market a new impulse. The new company will provide Lisianthus growers worldwide with the best young plants and proper guidance and related advice. From April 2013, the whole process, from sales to delivery of young plants, will be completely directed by Van Egmond. "This partnership is a great step for the future of floriculture. We will create an ever better product by joining forces and sharing knowledge.
The needs and requirements of customers and consumers have changed and we are changing too!" says José van Egmond (Operations Director at Van Egmond).
In future Combinations will focus on a number of product groups that fits within the strategy. "We will specialize further breeding of Lisianthus. A strong partner will deal with production of young plants. We are convinced that this step only provide benefits for us and for the growers" says Martin Noordam (Operation Director at Combinations).
“Consolidation and specialization is a trend in horticulture creating stronger companies, that can better respond to the demands of the market” says Aad Janssen (Merger & Acquisition advisor and director at Agro AdviesBuro).
The Lisianthus product range will remain the same for growers. Innovation, sustainability and involvement will reamain the key values. |
