Boskoop, 22 August 2013 - The joint stand by Van Riel/Puur Aroma/Decker Jacobs was selected as the best Green stand at Plantarium 2013 by the jury of the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society. Infogroen Software B.V. was awarded this title in the Suppliers category.

When it came to the green stands, the jury were unanimous in their decision. They feel that the joint stand by Van Riel/Puur Aroma/Decker Jacobs is a unique stand with a strong image and outstanding presentation of the plants, which include perennials, ornamental grasses and herbs. A stand which perfectly conveys aspects such as the experience and the eco feeling by means of edible plants. The stand therefore offers an optimal experience and invites purchasers to buy this product. The product information is purely aimed at consumers. The stand has unusually strong lighting which also makes the rear walls exciting, and the wonderful wooden presentation tables are very attractive. An unusual effect is provided by the edible table, which the jury feel is very interesting to trade visitors and consumers alike.

Suppliers

The jury were also unanimous in their selection of the winner of the Suppliers category. Everything is right about the stand presented by Infogroen Software B.V. from Hazerswoude-Dorp. Even the soft green colour of the lighting makes this software stand unique. From a technical and abstract point of view, it translates well into emotion and a warm feeling, using simple but still eye-catching resources. They also connect green with sustainability and have incorporated the theme of their anniversary in an outstanding way, say the jury.

CNB New Plants from Lisse came second in the Suppliers category. As well as submitting new plants, this entrant has also brought in new ideas. Wonderful tables with plants displayed on them, simply presented, well labelled and certainly informative as regards new plants. The jury felt that it was a very inviting stand.

Jiffy Products International B.V. from Moerdijk ended up in third place. The theme of this stand is “It’s all about roots”. The jury felt that the stand was to-the-point and precisely conveyed the essence of its message. A streamlined, aesthetic stand with attractive furniture and an appealing eye-catcher: the tree root.

Nominees for the best Green stand

For the stand awards, the green participants were divided into four sectors: stands with propagation materials, trade, retail and production. For each sector, the jury were allowed to put forward a maximum of three nominees from which the winner would ultimately be selected.

In the propagation materials sector, these were:

Gootjes Allplant B.V. from Schagen; a good and clearly-arranged presentation of perennials. The stand is inviting.

Rijnbeek & Zn. B.V. from Boskoop; an unusually wide range of perennials with perfect labelling and a clear message to the target group.

In the trade sector:

Gebr. Jonkers Elshout B.V. from Elshout; clearly-presented products on a stand with a good image.

De Jong Plant B.V. from Boskoop; a stand with a wide range of hydrangeas of exceptionally good quality and with a good concept.

In the retail sector:

Veluweplant B.V./Leen Konijn from Lunteren; a wonderful and expressive range of hydrangeas with a good concept and in the right packaging which offers added value.

Van Lint B.V. from Boskoop; clearly conveys how the consumer can purchase the product. Everything is presented in a way which is applicable and comprehensible to the consumer, in the form of high-quality nursery products.

The joint stand by Van Riel/Puur Aroma/Decker-Jacobs B.V.; a stand with a good image which provides a good experience of a wide range of perennials of excellent quality.

In the production sector:

Bruns Pflanzenexport GmbH & Co. KG from Bad-Zwischenahn (Germany); an appealing stand with attractive colour combinations for the plant and the pot, with a genuine tree nursery range.

Roses Forever Aps. from Sabro (Denmark); roses for both inside and outside use, of excellent quality, in good colour combinations and on a stand with a restful image.
